TRUTH BE TOLD was awarded the BEST ORIGINAL FILM IN COMPETITION award at the Asian Film Festival of Rome 2007. The jury of the 5th Asian Film Festival edition, composed of Federico Chiacchiari, director of Sentieri Selvaggi, Samuela Isopi, former deputy ambassador in Vietnam and Valerio Sammarco, film critic for Zabriskie Point and La rivista del cinematografo, has found that TRUTH BE TOLD is an "uncommon sociological analysis of a chameleon-like place such as Singapore."
